Message from the Principal

Mother’s day

We hope all the mums had a marvellous Mother's Day and that your children showed extra love and care! We had an absolutely fantastic time on Friday during our Mother's Day morning tea. It was great to see lots of mums able to make the event. We hope you enjoyed the gifts students purchased. We want to give a big shout-out to the P&F for their outstanding efforts in organizing this special day and running the Mother’s Day stall.

40th Celebration

With 2023 being the schools 40th birthday going back to the 80’s last Wednesday was a great thrill for students and teachers. Classes enjoyed playing 80’s games with their buddy class. Thank you to parents for the great work you did dressing your kids up. It was easy for me to dress up as I just grabbed a leather jacket I brought in the late 80’s!!

Sibling Application

A reminder to parents who have younger children not attending school to please ensure you have completed an application. It is better to have it in early than to miss out on a position. Application forms are available on the school website or can be picked up from the office.

Extra-Long Weekend Approaching

A reminder to parents that the school will have additional closure days attached to the June long weekend, in a couple of weeks’ time. The school will also be closed on Tuesday 2 June, with students returning on Wednesday 7 June. I hope all families enjoy the extended long weekend break.

God Bless

Eagles Rock My School

Eagles Rock My School came to visit us on 9th May and 17th May. It is a two part programme. The first part was an incursion for kindy-year 3 students on 9th of May in the hall.

Rick the Rock taught our junior primary students how to make healthy choices, show respect and achieve your best. It was fun and educational.

The second part of Eagles Rock my school was a footy clinc with 3 West Coast Eagles players on the oval with our sensory students. Callium Jamieson, Luke Edwards and Greg Clark

taught our students fundamental footy skills.

Year 6 Senior Leaders

From your Senior Leaders

If you happen to walk past our year 6 rooms, you may notice that we have new furniture. It has been purchased by the P&F, so we thank them for that. It is good getting used to a new style of classroom. When it is all finished, it will be amazing. Come and have a look for yourselves! This week, we were fortunate enough to have a visit from the SEDA cricket students who took us through some exercises. It was great fun. Thanks to Mr B for organising that.

Thankyou all for attending, and extra special thanks for our volunteers who gave up their time to come out.  Super shout out to the mums who arrived to celebrate and just jumped in to lend a hand! Special shout out to Mrs Caridi who had to declare to all that could hear that she kept scooping the exact yoghurt amount nearly every time! Good Job Mrs Caridi!!

World's Greatest Shave

With no screening programs available and no means of prevention through lifestyle changes, blood cancer is Australia's hidden cancer crisis. Every day, 53 Aussies are diagnosed with blood cancer, and 16 will lose their life. We can't delay taking action together. That's why we have decided to take part in the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave. We will be raising crucial funds that help give those facing blood cancer all the support and information they need, while driving breakthrough research projects discovering better ways to diagnose and treat blood cancer. You have the power to help me make an extraordinary difference. Big or small, every donation counts. Will you help by sponsoring us?
