Reports

School reports were released yesterday via SEQTA.  School reports provide valuable insights into your child's academic journey, highlighting their strengths, areas for improvement, and overall growth. By sitting down together and reading the school report, you can celebrate your child's accomplishments, no matter how big or small. This boosts their self-esteem, reinforces their hard work, and motivates them to strive for further success. School reports offer valuable feedback from teachers, enabling you to identify specific areas where your child may need additional support or guidance. Together, you can set goals and work collaboratively towards improvement. By reading and discussing school reports together, you are actively supporting their progress and nurturing a lifelong love for learning.

Uniform

Next Term I will be focusing on students wearing the correct uniform. One of the main issues is the shoes students are wearing. Please see below the correct shoes:

  • With the School Uniform black sandals or black leather lace
  • With the Sports Uniform white joggers

Run Club

Students are only to wear the sport uniform on their sport day with Mr B or class sport day. They are not to wear sport uniform for run club unless they have sport that day. I am happy for them to wear sport shoes and change back into their school shoes after run club.

 Happy Holidays

As we reach the end of first semester, I wish you a joyous and rejuvenating mid-year break. It's time for our students to recharge their energy and create beautiful memories with their loved ones. The past several months have been filled with lots of learning. Now, it's time to step back, relax, and enjoy the delightful experiences that come with holidays.

As we prepare for the second half of the year, I would like to express my gratitude for your support. Your encouragement, involvement, and partnership are important to the success of our students. Together, we will continue to nurture a love for learning.

I know I will be spending time with my one week old granddaughter enjoying this new chapter of my life.  Wishing you all a wonderful holiday filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments.

God Bless

Newsletter Week 10 - Term 2, 2023

Thank you to the P&F for providing funds to assist with the purchase of new flexible furniture for our Year 6 classes. As you can see by the photos the whiteboard desks allow for students to express their thinking. The different shaped, levelled and style of furniture supports students by providing opportunities to learn in an engaging environment.

Many Gifts, One Spririt Award

Congratulations to our most recent Many Gifts, One Spirit Award recipients in acknowledgement of showing the school value of Community during Term 2, 2023:

Paris D'silva

Newsletter Week 10 - Term 2, 2023

Paris is an exceptional  role model for Good Shepherd. She displays school values in all ways but in particular when it comes to Community, Paris is always looking out for others. Whether it be in the playground or in class, she is the first to offer to help another student. If someone is hurt, Paris is there. If someone needs help with finishing their work or packing away, Paris is there. She is a well-liked student by peers and teachers because of her kind nature and I am so proud of the person she is becoming.

Keturah Rebero

Newsletter Week 10 - Term 2, 2023

Keturah, you have consistently demonstrated a deep sense of responsibility, both towards your own studies and towards helping your peers. Your willingness to lend a helping hand, whether it's assisting others with their classwork, helping staff or offering guidance and support, is truly commendable. You embody the spirit of teamwork and collaboration, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Moreover, your respect for the community and yourself instils motivation for your classmates to do the same. You consistently exhibit kindness, empathy, and understanding towards those around you, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Your genuine care for others is evident in the way you actively listen, engage, and uplift those who may need a friendly word or a helping hand. Keturah, congratulations on receiving the "Many Gifts, One Spirit - Community Award." Your responsible and friendly nature, coupled with your commitment to helping others, make you truly deserving of this recognition.

MOVIE NIGHT!

What a night we had! Friday 23 July saw the P&F hold a movie night in the school Hall.  With the help of the City of Swan’s Movie Trailer (DID YOU SEE HOW MASSIVE THAT SCREEN WAS?!) we all snuggled down in our blankets and oodies for a showing of Lyle Lyle Crocodile. Massive shout out of thanks to all of our helpers, particularly our ex-students who showed up to lend a hand.  Love seeing that Good Shepherd Spirit shining through. We can’t wait to see you all again at our next function!
